Have you seen the new blue "Google Translation" button in hi5 Groups? Now we can communicate across different languages in group posts! This new feature allows you to automatically translate posts on the group message board from other languages into your language, using Google's Machine Translation. Just click the button to turn translations on or off. The messages posted in the group will then be translated into whatever language you are using to browse hi5.

It should work with all hi5 languages EXCEPT: Albanian, Hungarian, Macedonian, Maltese, Malaysian, Mirandese, Thai, and Turkish. Google does not yet support Machine Translation for those languages, so when Google adds them, hi5 will too.

Please remember, these translations are done by a computer. They can give you a general sense of the original meaning, but they are not going to be 100% accurate, and they don't work very well on slang, etc. If you want to help make your own group posts work well with Google Translation, avoid using slang, abbreviations, transliterations, or mixing languages.

This feature is starting to roll out now, so you should see it soon. We hope you'll try it out and let us know what you think :-)

I think is very good idea since some do not know much about the different languages that are in the sections hi5.
